Spend a day in Arusha National Park, a small jewel usually referred to as the hidden treasure of Tanzania due to the variety of its scenery. Close to Rivertrees, the park is an expanse of misty forests, open savannas, and the towering figure of Mount Meru.
Guided walking safaris allow you to get your feet on the ground, with giraffes chewing on the acacias or a rare colobus monkey hanging in the canopy. To break the monotony a canoe tour on Momella Lakes provides a relaxing experience in the presence of hippos and flamingos and more than 400 species of birds make this place the dream of any birder all courtesy of the volcanic soils in the park. Visitors are fond of the smaller size of this less-visited park, and rangers give tips on where to find the elusive wildlife.
Spend the night at Rivertrees, have a good dinner, and think over the things that were learned today in the quiet country atmosphere in the inn.

Travel south to Tarangire national park where life life-giving Tarangire river attracts large groups of elephants particularly during the dry season (June to October).
The combination of baobab trees that are the symbol of the park and lions resting and zebras drinking waterholes make the view of the park iconic and allow the creation of the postcards. Red-dust plains can form the picturesque landscapes. Professional guides also tend to locate some of the best things, such as a fringe-eared oryx or a tree-climbing python, which makes your safari even more interesting. Your location in Sangaiwe Tented Lodge, where you are staying in the high elevation above the lake of Burunge, has tents that are elevated with en-suite refinements and verandahs to view the sunset.
Visitors are fond of the close-knit, natural ambiance of the lodge, enclosed by the native hardwoods, and the campfire anecdotes of people working locally make the night in the lodge memorable.

Today, visit Lake Manyara National Park which is a thin heaven wedged between the Rift Valley escarpment and a glittering soda lake. The park is famous with baboon herds, elephants and hippos bathing in steam pools due to the heat that causes discomfort to the tree climbing lions which lie down in acacia trees to rest.
It has a variety of habitats such as groundwater forests, grasslands and hot springs which are home to more than 400 bird species, which make them a pleasure to nature lovers. Experienced tourists indicate that the best places to see the lions are in the north. By the end of the day of sightseeing, arrive at the Country Lodge in Karatu, with its green gardens and comfortable rooms commanding the hills that are covered with coffee, a very plenous rest.
